Jennifer Roselle Moderated Panel at New Jersey League of Municipalities 2020 Online Mini Conference

Counsel Jennifer Roselle, Esq. moderated a panel entitled, "The Cost of Sexual Harassment Claims and how They can Affect your Municipal Budget" at the recent New Jersey State League of Municipalities 2020 Mini Conference on June 12th.
By one conservative estimate, the costs of employment practices lawsuits against governmental agencies in New Jersey now exceed $100 million per year, a three-fold increase over the last 15 years. Ms. Roselle's panel discussed the evolution of harassment lawsuits arising from State and Federal Law with extensive case studies. The seminar also focused on the direct and indirect impact of these lawsuits including insured and uninsured costs. Attendees received practical advice on how to avoid suits, including policy manual considerations, the importance of independent investigations and what to do to if a suit is filed.
