The Global Gateway Alliance announced today the addition of two leading transportation voices – Tom Wright, Executive Director of Regional Plan Association and Angelo Genova, founding Partner at Genova Burns, LLC and a former New Jersey Commissioner of the Port Authority (2003-2007), to its Board of Directors.
GGA is the leading voice for the improvement and modernization of the region’s airports and related infrastructure, including spearheading the recent efforts to provide free WiFi, and advocating for an extension of the PATH train to Newark and a complete overhaul of LaGuardia’s Central Terminal Building.
“These two leaders represent decades of experience in infrastructure and airport improvement efforts in our region. I am confident that their partnership, together with our other outstanding Board members, will bring us closer to our goal: making strategic investments into our region’s airports and bringing them into the 21st century,” said Joseph Sitt, Founder of the Global Gateway Alliance.
“GGA brings together a wealth of knowledge and expertise on transit, infrastructure and investment in the metropolitan region,” said Mr. Genova. “The mission of GGA is fundamental to upholding New York and New Jersey’s reputation as a global gateway, attracting international travelers and visitors from all parts of the world. I am honored to join the team.”
Mr. Genova represents nationally recognized business and institutional clients in complex commercial, real estate and employment litigation. During Mr. Genova’s tenure as a Port Authority Commissioner, the agency instituted important airport improvement efforts such as modernizing Terminals B and C at Newark.
