Michael Freeman Joins Genova Burns LLC As Partner

Genova Burns LLC proudly announces that Michael H. Freeman, Esq., a seasoned attorney with over three decades of legal experience, has joined the Firm as Partner. Mr. Freeman is a distinguished litigator and a key contributor to the firm’s Commercial Litigation, Employment, and White Collar Criminal Defense Departments.

Throughout his career, Mr. Freeman has represented a wide range of clients, including large and mid-size corporations, government entities, hospitals, and educational institutions, in complex litigation. His practice areas encompass contract disputes, commercial torts, and real estate controversies. He is also highly regarded for his defense of public entities in civil rights and constitutional matters, as well as his representation of businesses and supervisors in employment-related litigation, including claims of discrimination and wrongful discharge.

Mr. Freeman’s litigation expertise extends to appellate advocacy, having successfully handled appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits, the Appellate Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey, and the New Jersey Supreme Court.

A magna cum laude graduate of George Washington University Law School, where he served on the George Washington Law Review, Mr. Freeman brings an academic rigor to his practice. He also earned his Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.

Mr. Freeman is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, and multiple federal courts, including the United States District Courts for the District of New Jersey and the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, as well as the United States Courts of Appeals for the Third Circuit and Federal Circuit. He has also served as a member of the New Jersey Supreme Court District Ethics Committee and as a Barrister in the Employment Law American Inn of Court.
