Rajiv D. Parikh Named NJBIZ 40 Under 40

Genova Burns is proud to announce that Firm Partner Rajiv D. Parikh has been named as one of NJBIZ’s 40 Under 40 business people in New Jersey for 2015. The publication noted that the chosen individuals are “40 of New Jersey’s most accomplished young businessmen and women who have been making headlines in their field and who share a commitment to business growth, professional excellence and the community - the next generation of unstoppable leaders!” Nominees were scored by an independent panel of judges based on a specific set of criteria: Professional Accomplishments, Leadership, Vision, and Community Service.
Mr. Parikh is a member of the Firm’s Complex Commercial Litigation, Intellectual Property Law, Construction Law & Litigation, and Corporate Political Activity Law Practice Groups. He is a litigator and trial attorney with substantial experience in complex commercial disputes, intellectual property litigation, electronic discovery, franchise litigation, large scale construction disputes, and constitutional challenges. In addition, Mr. Parikh has an expertise with strategic counseling and litigation related to online reputation management, harassment and defending against internet/social media defamation campaigns. Mr. Parikh has also been involved with a variety of election and voting rights related litigations throughout New Jersey, including matters concerning the Democratic National Committee, and candidates for local, state and federal offices. He serves as general counsel to the New Jersey Democratic State Committee, and the campaigns of Senator Cory Booker, Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman and others.
Mr. Parikh is a Barrister for the John C. Lifland American Inn of Court and a member of the Association of the Federal Bar of New Jersey, the South Asian Bar Association of New Jersey and the Asian Pacific American Lawyers Association of New Jersey. He serves as Vice-President of Affiliate Relations for the South Asian Bar Association of Noth America, Acting-President of the APALA-NJ Foundation, and Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the Historical Society of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. He also serves on the boards of directors of the South Asian Caucus of the New Jersey Democratic State Committee, and the New Leaders Council of New Jersey.
Mr. Parikh is committed to public service for the community, including through his positions as a member of the Board of Directors of New Jersey Needs You, and pro bono service as General Counsel to the Share & Care Foundation, and Hindu Amerian Seva Charities.
