HR Executive Magazine Names Angelo Genova as One of the Nation’s Most Powerful Employment Lawyers

Angelo J. Genova, the firm’s co-founder, was named to the sixth annual list of “The Nation’s Most Powerful Employment Lawyers,” published by the magazine and website Human Resource Executive. The list is prepared exclusively for the magazine by Lawdragon, a Los Angeles-based networking site for lawyers and clients. Attorneys are selected on the basis of curriculum-vitae analyses and evaluations by clients and peers.
Mr. Genova has represented management for several decades in virtually all aspects of labor and employment law and litigation. He appears regularly in matters in the private and public sectors before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), under the Railway Labor Act, and before the New Jersey Public Employment Relations Commission, EEOC and various state employment law agencies. Mr. Genova has served four New Jersey Governors as the State’s labor negotiator with the unions representing over 50,000 public workers. Mr. Genova possesses special competence and experience in all aspects of employment law and litigation, having participated as defense counsel in a myriad of employment litigation, discrimination, whistleblower and wrongful termination trials and appeals.
He is a Fellow of The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, and served a two-year term as Chairman of the Section on Labor and Employment Law of the New Jersey State Bar Association from 2007-2009. He represents clients in a diverse array of industries, including construction, financial services, telecom, utilities, manufacturing, transportation, healthcare, casino and hospitality sectors, among others, in collective bargaining, traditional labor law and employment litigation.
