July 2, 2013
Director of the firm’s Energy & Utility Practice Group Counsel Ken Sheehan and Associate Cynthia L.M. Holland have co-authored an article that appears in this month’s Public Utility Law Section Newsletter, published by the New Jersey State Bar Association. Entitled “Farmland Solar Out to Pasture: BPU Approves SRECs for Only Three Out of 57 New Grid-Supply Solar Farmland Projects,” the piece examines the state’s Board of Public Utilities’ orders denying SREC eligibility or deferring decision, and explains the options now available to these projects. Prior to joining Genova Burns, Mr. Sheehan served as the Chief Counsel of the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities and Ms. Holland served as a Deputy Attorney General representing the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities.
