GBGW Coordinates Funding For $18 million Senior Living Complex Through Federal, State and County Sources

Governor Chris Christie, Steve Adubato and Essex County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo attended a groundbreaking ceremony on May 29th for a $18 million, 137- unit complex in Belleville for moderate income residents over the age of 55. Construction by the developer Mill Street Urban Renewal will start at the end of the year. Acting as Chief Redevelopment Counsel, GBGW coordinated funding for this project from a diverse range of sources including state Community Development Block grants, federal low income tax credits, and subsidies from the Essex County Home program. The Governor was quoted by the Star Ledger commending the project as an example of politicians working across party lines “ to actually get things done.”
