Dena Calo and Eileen Fitzgerald Addison Co-Author Article on FMLA and Medical Certifications for Serious Health Conditions

Partner Dena B. Calo and Associate Eileen Fitzgerald Addison have co-authored an article in the June 2013 Leave & Disability Handbook newsletter, part of Thompson’s Human Resources series. Entitled “Navigating the Maze of FMLA Certifications and Recertifications,” the piece addresses the administration and monitoring of Family and Medical Leave Act leave in the area of medical certifications. Ms. Calo and Ms. Addison also examine the significance of the case Brookins v. Staples Contract & Commercial, which gives employers some direction in this complicated aspect of FMLA administration.
