Firm Defends Its Championship at the Annual Battle of the Barristers for the Greater Newark Fresh Air Fund

GBGW is gearing up for the big Battle of the Barristers for the Greater Newark Fresh Air Fund, scheduled for July 17 in Brookdale Park with the championship game to be held at Yogi Berra Stadium.  The yearly tournament unites members of our business, legal and philanthropic communities for the combined pleasures of softball, collegial competition, and the satisfaction of providing local children with the chance to attend camp in the country for a week this summer. This year, due to our winning the championship in 2011, GBGW has the honor of hosting the tournament, with Angelo Genova and Doug Solomon as Co-Chairs.  Ten teams will be vying for the championship. We are also delighted to report that we are continuing the tradition of having New Jersey federal and state judges serve as umpires during the divisional games. For 130 years, the Fresh Air Fund has provided children a week in the country and with it, memories and lasting bonds that they will carry long past childhood.  The Firm is honored to can continue this tradition, putting smiles on the faces of countless children. Last year the fund raised enough money to make it possible to send over 400 children to various summer camps.
