Jennifer Mazawey to Present on Changing Roles and Responsibilities under the NJDEP New Site Remediation Program

April 17, 2012

Jennifer Mazawey, Esq., Counsel in Genova Burns Commercial Real Estate, Redevelopment & Environmental Law practice group, is one of several instructors presenting a course on Wednesday April 18th entitled “Working with Your LSRP [Licensed Site Remediation Professional].” The course is held by Rutgers’ Office of Continuing professional Education.  Irene Kropp, Deputy Commissioner of NJDEP, is also scheduled to talk about the applicability and process involving the newly promulgated Waiver Rule. New Jersey’s Site Remediation Act (SRRA)has dramatically changed the requirements for the remediation of environmental impacts. Many important changes take effect in May 2012, including the requirement to retain an LSRP. If you require the services of an LSRP, you need to know the structure and mandates of the new site remediation program. This half day program will teach participants the role and requirements of an LSRP and how it changes interaction among the remediating parties, attorneys, LSRPs, regulators and property owners.
