Don Clarke to Present "Asset Sales in Bankruptcy" Essex County Bar Association Program at Genova Burns LLC

Genova Burns Partner and Bankruptcy, Reorganization & Creditors' Rights specialist Don Clarke, Esq. will participate on a panel at an upcoming Essex County Bar Association program entitled, "Asset Sales in Bankruptcy" at the firm's office in Newark. 

The presentation will focus on the transfer of assets in and through bankruptcy estates in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11. The panel will address issues which should be considered by practitioners representing any interested parties who are either looking to take advantage of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code's provisions or being subjected to those provisions.

This will include those Bankruptcy Code sections which provide the economic advantage of selling assets free and clear of liens, claims, and encumbrances, while highlighting potential procedural pitfalls and often unexpected tax ramifications.

This program has been approved by the Board on Continuing Legal Education for the Supreme Court of New Jersey for 1 hour of total CLE credit and by virtue of reciprocity for 1 total CLE credit in New York. For additional information and to register, please click here.
