NJBIZ recently featured Genova Burns LLC in their coverage of the 2024 Battle Of The Barristers Tournament.
"Genova Burns LLC hosted the 2024 Battle of the Barristers Aug. 7 at Brookdale Park in Bloomfield, after winning the championship in 2023. This year, Brach Eichler emerged as the winner, defeating McCarter & English and securing its place as host for the 2025 tournament. The annual event gathers law firms and departments from across New Jersey for a day of spirited competition."
"Commented Angelo Genova, chairman of Genova Burns, “It has been a privilege for Genova Burns to participate and occasionally win the Battle of the Barristers over the years. This event gives Firms and legal departments a chance to give back to the community. ... All proceeds go the Greater Newark Fresh air fund, so its competition with a good cause,” he continued. “As this year’s hosts, we really tried to make it a firm family day so everyone got to enjoy the day." The 2024 tournament also featured teams from firms Prudential Financial Inc., Carella Byrne, Mandelbaum Barrett, Fox Rothschild, Lowenstein Sandler, Gibbons PC and Cole Schotz."
